Many people ask this question regarding dog toys. Squeaky toys are a great way to get the play out of your dog. We always like to recommend soft squeak toys for small dogs with the exception of round rubber squishy squeak balls that are the size of a golf ball or less as they can get lodged in your dogs throat or digestive tract. This is especially important for medium to large size dogs. We have seen and heard of so many cases with dogs at home that accidentally swallow the slippery squishy balls and they can't breath or they have a digestive tract issue. Kong toys, always a great toy and if you get a hallow kong, you can put peanut butter in it and freeze it. On a day you decide to go out for a few hours or at night trying to sleep you can entertain your dog with hours of jaw chewing and licking activity while he or she try's to get the peanut butter out of the Kong. Great way to tire your pup out.

A dog's fur plays an important role in keeping your dog healthy and comfortable. Your dog's fur prevents water and heat from leaving your dog's body, plus it helps keep viruses and bacteria out. One of the best ways to make sure your dog’s skin and coat are in the best possible condition is by paying close attention to what you feed your dog.
Nutrients like protein, vitamins, fat and minerals can all impact your dog’s skin and coat. Learning from a personal experience many years ago and to this present day bad nutrition with dog foods that contain fillers like wheat, corn, potatoes, rice and more can cause allergies, tears stains, EPI and so much more. Your dog’s coat is made up almost entirely of protein. If their diet doesn’t contain enough quality protein, your dog’s hair might fall out or become dry, weak and brittle.
Likewise, their skin is made up of tightly packed flat cells with tough membranes made of fats and proteins. Without proper amounts of these nutrients, the cell membranes can weaken, allowing water to escape and bacteria and viruses to enter more easily. Make sure your dog is getting the following nutrients to help keep their coat and skin healthy
