Surf Gidget The Pug is a Champion surf pug owned by Alecia Nelson owner of It's A Dogs life Academy. Alecia & Gidget have donated a lifetime to charities, supporting children adaptive surf athletes & disabled surf therapy programs. Alecia & Gidget have also partnered & supported Belinda Carlisle's foundation "Animal People Alliance" since 2016 and will be partnering with Mrs Carlisle & APA in December 2024 at her music event in Los Angeles. Alecia & Gidget have also partnered with Stop Walk Traffic San Diego supporting trafficked teens & children. Since the foundation was established in 2021 The Surf Gidget Foundation has rescued, trained & placed 10 dogs into new homes, most recently with a disabled new adoptee parents.

The program doesn't take in a high amount of dogs in as each dog is cared for, vetted, socialized, trained & then placed with the appropriate individual. 

The charity is primarily a rehab program for unwanted, neglected dogs that we save from being euthanized. We train and socialize the dogs to become loving companions for trafficked, abused, disabled children, teens & or to a loving home for those that simply want a companion. They will have the chance to start a new life and a healing journey together.
